A Hardware PCIe Engineer responsible for designing, validating, and troubleshooting high-speed PCIe interfaces for SSD products, contributing to innovative data storage solutions and ensuring high performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Design and validate electrical PCIe interfaces for SSD products
Lead signal integrity simulations and collaborate on high-speed interface validation and compliance
Troubleshoot hardware issues, perform failure analysis, and conduct root cause investigations
Automate workflows and improve validation processes using scripting and AI tools
Requirements
A strong background in high-speed electrical design, PCIe fundamentals, and PCIe debug, including experience with PCIe Gen5 and Gen6 devices.
Expertise in hardware design and development, including schematic capture, PCB layout, and component selection.
Proficiency with PCIe test equipment such as high-speed oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and BERTs, and a strong understanding of signal integrity (SI) simulation tools and methodologies.
Proven experience in validating hardware at electrical, SI, protocol, and functional levels.
Experience using scripting languages such as Python and BASH to automate workflows.
Ability to take ownership of the electrical design of PCIe interfaces for SSD products and lead validation and debugging activities.
Experience in troubleshooting hardware issues, leading failure analysis, and conducting root cause investigations to support field and customer escalations.
Ability to perform signal integrity (SI) simulations and collaborate with external partners on high-speed interface simulation, validation, and compliance activities.
Willingness to work onsite at the Santa Clara, CA office in accordance with company policies.
