A Senior Hardware Engineer responsible for designing, qualifying, and integrating high-performance storage hardware solutions for exascale AI applications, collaborating across teams to ensure reliability and automation of hardware validation processes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead hardware qualification, including selection, validation, and documentation of hardware components for storage systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues through debugging, failure analysis, and root cause investigation.
Design, implement, and automate hardware validation and qualification testing processes.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to integrate new storage hardware into platforms and support production and sustainment.
Requirements
Proven experience in hardware design, x86 architectures, and related interfaces.
Proven experience in qualifying hardware at the electrical, signal integrity, protocol, and functional levels.
Track record of planning, implementing, and automating hardware qualification processes, including selecting x86 subcomponents, NVMe drives, and power supplies.
Understanding of developing and connecting complex systems, including high speed networking knowledge, rack integration, and power delivery.
Strong experience with scripting languages like Python and BASH for test development and workflow automation.
Experience in interacting and directing cross-functional teams such as operations, vendors, and support to deliver high-quality hardware.
Ability to work from the Santa Clara, CA office in compliance with company policies (this is a mandatory physical presence requirement).
