Job Description
The Firmware Engineer will design, develop, and test firmware for high-performance DirectFlash SSD Modules, collaborating with hardware and software teams to create resilient storage solutions and troubleshoot complex hardware and firmware issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and test firmware for DirectFlash SSD Modules
- Lead the bring-up and integration of new hardware components
- Investigate and debug complex firmware and hardware issues
- Develop and maintain failure analysis tools and processes
- Automate development workflows, including continuous integration and testing
Requirements
- A strong foundation in firmware development for embedded systems, with a deep understanding of hardware and software interactions.
- Proficiency in C and C++ programming languages.
- Experience with scripting languages like Python for testing, automation, and tooling.
- Hands-on experience with embedded software or firmware, including microcontrollers and hardware bring-up.
- Proven ability to debug complex firmware and hardware issues and develop effective tools for failure analysis.
- Experience leading the bring-up and integration of new hardware components, developing low-level firmware features to enable next-generation storage products.
- Experience designing, implementing, and testing firmware for DirectFlash SSD Modules or similar storage hardware.
- Ability to investigate and debug complex firmware and hardware issues, creating advanced failure analysis tools and processes to ensure product reliability.
- Experience automating internal development workflows, including continuous integration and automated testing, to accelerate engineering and release cycles.
- Work in an in-office environment at the Santa Clara, CA location, in compliance with company policies.
