Job Description
This role involves building and operating asset discovery and secrets detection workflows to ensure security and asset hygiene across cloud, on-premises, and SaaS environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve security posture and automate remediation processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and operate asset discovery workflows across on-prem, cloud, and SaaS environments
- Track, tag, and maintain a trustworthy asset inventory
- Support vulnerability intelligence workflows with business context and inventory hygiene
- Deploy, tune, and maintain secrets detection tools and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines
- Create scalable feedback loops to improve security posture and reduce false positives
- Automate triage workflows, false positive suppression, and remediation notifications
- Build dashboards and reporting pipelines to monitor secrets exposure, asset coverage, and risk trends
- Collaborate with development teams to eliminate insecure secrets handling practices
Requirements
- 5 to 8 years of experience in security operations, cloud security, or related engineering roles
- Experience operating tools like runZero, TruffleHog, GitLeaks, or similar asset discovery and secrets detection tools
- Familiarity with cloud platforms AWS, GCP, and Azure
- Experience working with modern CI/CD pipelines
- Working knowledge of GitHub, GitLab, and secure code practices
- Solid scripting or automation ability using Python, Bash, or equivalent languages
- Experience managing asset metadata and tagging strategies
- Strong understanding of secrets hygiene, credential lifecycle, and IAM basics
- Experience supporting or working within vulnerability management workflows
- Ability to work with log aggregation tools, security alerting platforms, and ticketing systems
- Excellent communication skills to clearly convey technical information to non-technical audiences
- Self-directed, detail-oriented, and capable of operating across multiple teams

Salary range: $165,000 - $248,000 USD annually
