Job Description
The role involves leading a security engineering team to develop and implement security features for a data storage platform, ensuring a strong security posture while collaborating with cross-functional teams and executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a software security team to develop and deliver security features for the FlashArray platform.
- Establish and execute a product security strategy and roadmap aligned with business objectives.
- Provide technical and architectural guidance on security-related features and challenges.
- Manage team performance, growth, and foster a culture of technical excellence and accountability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to communicate security risks and influence strategy.
Requirements
- Proven success in building, mentoring, and leading high-performing software engineering teams, including hiring, performance management, and career development.
- Demonstrated ability to establish operational objectives, work plans, delegate assignments, and drive execution for complex, multi-team projects.
- Deep technical background in systems software development with experience in programming languages such as C, C++, or Java, and a strong understanding of security and architectural details, even if not currently coding hands-on.
- Experience in analyzing complex situations or data, applying independent judgment, and selecting effective methods and evaluation criteria to obtain results.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence senior management and executive stakeholders, especially in sensitive situations.
- Willingness to work primarily in an in-office environment at the Santa Clara, CA office in accordance with company policies.
