This role involves leading Product Configuration Management to ensure data integrity, streamline product lifecycle processes, and optimize PLM systems across hardware and software products, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Establish and govern configuration control standards for all product Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical documentation across hardware and software lifecycles.
Lead the end-to-end Engineering Change Management (ECM) process, coordinating with global teams to ensure timely execution and alignment.
Optimize the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system by managing workflows, access permissions, and providing user training.
Conduct data audits and analyze configuration metrics to identify process gaps and implement improvements.
Ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance across product configurations and documentation.
Requirements
Expertise in Product Configuration with deep, practical knowledge of configuration management within a technical environment (hardware, software, or manufacturing), including complex product structures and all stages of the product lifecycle.
Hands-on proficiency with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems such as Agile, Arena, or Teamcenter, with the ability to define, manage, and audit intricate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Engineering Change processes (ECO, ECN).
Establish and govern configuration control standards for all product Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical documentation across hardware and software lifecycles, ensuring absolute data integrity and regulatory compliance.
Lead the end-to-end Engineering Change Management (ECM) process, coordinating timely execution and alignment between global Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to minimize disruption and accelerate new product introduction.
Manage and refine workflows, access permissions, and provide essential training to optimize the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system, acting as the subject matter expert to drive user adoption and operational efficiency.
Conduct regular data audits and analyze key configuration metrics to proactively identify process gaps and implement solutions that enhance overall product development and delivery.
Proven success in leading, influencing, and collaborating with diverse cross-functional teams including Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality to achieve organizational alignment.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret key performance metrics, conduct data audits, and implement process improvements that drive measurable business efficiency and maintain high-quality standards.
Work from the Houston office in compliance with company policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
