Job Description
The Principal Value Architect collaborates with large enterprise customers at the executive level to develop and communicate quantifiable business value propositions for Pure Storage solutions, leading technical assessments and creating strategic, data-driven proposals that demonstrate how the company's technology delivers measurable business benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical assessments with customers to quantify current pain points, requirements, and business value of future solutions.
- Collaborate with account teams, sales leaders, and customer stakeholders to develop and present clear value propositions and business cases.
- Define and document current and future state architectures, including infrastructure, applications, and data flows, with measurable metrics.
- Develop implementation plans that outline timelines, benefits realization, and risk mitigation strategies in partnership with customer success teams.
- Engage with CTO-level leadership to secure agreement on technical scope, benefits, and transformation plans.
- Create and contribute to reusable assets illustrating architecture, transformation journey, and business benefits.
- Partner with sales engineers and solution specialists to align technical solutions with customer objectives and differentiate Pure Storage solutions.
- Communicate complex technical insights and value propositions effectively to both technical and business stakeholders.
Requirements
- 10 years of experience in value based technical sales.
- Proven track record of working at CxO level, typically CTO level.
- Proven expertise in consulting led client engagements on large multi-million dollar opportunities with Fortune 500 companies.
- Experience in analyzing complex technical environments including application environments, database management, networking infrastructure, cloud, and how application requirements are defined and implemented into infrastructure using current technologies such as containers.
- Proven experience in defining operating and business metrics for storage block, file, object, cloud, database technologies, AI, and virtualization technologies.
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence both technical and business stakeholders.
- Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, especially sales engineers and account teams.
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering value and building long-term relationships.
- Familiarity with tools and frameworks for ROI analysis and technical value quantification (preferred but not explicitly mandatory).
