Job Description

The role involves leading and coaching a Business Development Representative team in Tokyo to generate pipeline and achieve sales targets within the enterprise SaaS space, while developing strategic outreach and prospecting initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach the Business Development Representative (BDR) team to achieve and exceed targets
  • Develop and execute strategies for pipeline generation and lead development
  • Collaborate with marketing to leverage demand generation and field marketing initiatives
  • Provide targeted coaching on prospecting, outreach, messaging, and discovery techniques
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop top talent for the BDR team
  • Lead training, enablement, and team meetings to enhance team performance
  • Monitor team activities, KPIs, and KPIs, providing feedback and accountability
  • Partner with leadership to support pipeline growth and business expansion in Japan

Requirements

  • Japanese native language proficiency
  • Intermediate level English proficiency
  • 5 years proven experience in the Business Development Representative (BDR) or Account Executive (AE) function or relevant work experience
  • Experience managing a small team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • BA or BS degree, similar college-level education, or equivalent work experience
  • Strong understanding of operational processes and best practices
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in CRM software and operations management tools
  • Demonstration of leadership in a prior role and the ability to inspire team members
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including high-level communication with internal and external contacts
  • Demonstrated passion for learning new things and continuous improvement
  • Sharp business acumen to expand business for the Japan market
