This role involves designing and leading the development of large-scale data management solutions for enterprise customers, partnering with cross-functional teams to drive business growth, and providing strategic technical expertise to meet customer needs in the data storage industry.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with customers, sales, solutions engineers, and product teams to develop scalable, resilient data management solutions.
Manage specific areas within the company's product portfolio and develop new offerings to drive business growth.
Build and maintain consultative relationships with customers, including executive-level engagement, to understand and address their business needs.
Drive new business opportunities in enterprise accounts to meet product and service booking targets.
Design, develop, and implement large-scale data management solutions for major enterprise clients.
Analyze requirements and perform advanced solution designs across various products and services.
Lead technical presentations and engage with clients at their facilities to demonstrate solutions.
Coordinate and submit proposals, negotiate contracts, and mitigate risks in solution sales processes.
Leverage industry knowledge of competitors and market strategies to position solutions effectively.
Manage complex sales challenges independently and contribute to go-to-market strategies across enterprise and global accounts.
Requirements
15 years of experience with selling into industry verticals.
10 years of experience designing solutions including virtualization, storage, security, and networking.
Recognized industry certification (preferred).
Quota bearing experience (preferred).
Bachelor's degree.
Expert working knowledge of the sales process, including the identification of customer use cases, development of ROI models, and value-based selling.
Proficient in sizing, scope, and positioning of Pure's Services Portfolio.
High degree of technical competency to respond to customer needs and discuss product capabilities and applications with technical users and buyers.
Expertise in coordination and submission of winning proposals such as RFQs, RFIs, RFPs, effective contract negotiations, appropriate interpretation of contract terms and conditions, issue identification, and risk mitigation.
Experience in selling and closing large, solution-oriented opportunities.
Competency in some or all of the technology pillars that enable customers to leverage Pure’s Modern Data Experience, including Data Management, Protection, Migration, Analytics, AI/ML, Business Applications, and MultiCloud.
Working understanding of Hybrid Cloud strategies and major players in this space.
Well-versed on strengths and weaknesses of key competitors in the data storage industry and how to leverage this knowledge.
Working knowledge of Go To Market Sales Motions across both Enterprise and Global accounts.
Ability to work individually in managing complex challenges.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
Solid understanding of the use of Salesforce or Sales CRM equivalents.
Fluent in English and proficiency in a second European language (strongly desired).
Up to 25% travel availability.
