Job Description
This role involves leading the design, development, and management of secure, scalable enterprise cloud software systems, providing technical vision and mentorship, and overseeing multiple projects to deliver innovative data storage solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build secure, reliable, scalable, and fault-tolerant systems.
- Promote adoption of best practices in software development, system design, and DevOps.
- Provide technical vision, strategy, and leadership for the team.
- Drive full lifecycle ownership of services from inception to production.
- Architect innovative solutions to anticipate bottlenecks.
- Act as a product owner, driving customer-centric features.
- Coach and mentor junior and mid-level developers.
- Lead medium to large software projects, coordinating requirements, estimates, and schedules.
Requirements
- A minimum of 8 years of experience developing enterprise cloud software using Java or related programming languages.
- At least 3 years of experience in a tech lead or similar role, leading multiple projects from conception to release.
- Proven experience in designing secure, reliable, scalable, performant, and fault-tolerant systems.
- Experience in developing and promoting adoption of best practices in software development, system design, operations, and DevOps with a focus on operational excellence and monitoring.
- Ability to provide technical vision, strategy, and leadership for a team, including driving full lifecycle ownership of services from inception to production.
- Experience in anticipating bottlenecks and architecting innovative solutions.
- Experience acting as a product owner, driving customer-centric features.
- Experience coaching and mentoring junior and mid-level developers to help them grow technically and understand best practices.
- Experience leading medium to large software projects, coordinating requirements, estimates, priorities, and schedules.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, MongoDB, Kubernetes, containerization, Spring Boot, or similar technologies.
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science; advanced degrees are considered a bonus.
- Ability to work in an in-office environment at the Santa Clara office in compliance with company policies.
