The Senior Pre-Sales Systems Engineer at Everpure is responsible for understanding customer needs, demonstrating technical solutions, and supporting sales efforts in the data storage and flash technology industry, with a focus on enterprise storage architectures and cloud-native solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Understand customer business drivers and tailor storage solutions accordingly
Collaborate with sales and technical teams to create seamless customer experiences and drive revenue
Provide technical leadership and expertise on storage products, architectures, and competitive offerings
Manage evaluations, benchmarks, and system configurations for storage solutions
Deliver technical presentations and demonstrations to secure customer buy-in
Translate customer requirements into innovative storage solutions to support their growth
Identify and pursue new opportunities for interoperability, testing, and validation
Develop technical marketing materials and stay current with industry trends and competitors
Requirements
Pre-sales experience is required with 5 or more years of relevant experience in technology, design, and communications.
Experience supporting the sales of enterprise storage, networking, systems, cloud, or software to enterprise accounts.
Deep understanding of the architecture, design, and implementation of multi-tiered client-server and web-based computing solutions.
Familiarity with modern web architecture such as LAMP stack, scale-out vs scale-up architectures, AWS well-architected framework, and microservices architecture is a plus.
Prior experience in targeting new prospects and converting them into clients.
Experience contributing significant portions of or leading responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
Superior knowledge of current and emerging storage architectures including FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, and SAN.
Previous experience with Linux, NFS file systems, and Linux distributed network environment.
Experience with installation and configuration of distributed computing, multiprocessing, virtual memory subsystem, storage subsystems architecture, shared memory architectures, cache architectures, and windowing systems.
Strong knowledge of digital transformation to Cloud Native architecture, On-Prem, Public Cloud, Provisioning Automation, and Containers.
Knowledge of VMware, Local Area Networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and general networking.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, and microservices architectures including containers and k8s is a plus.
Curiosity and passion for technology and explaining/showing new technology platforms and concepts to customers.
Familiarity with storage-intensive applications and their requirements such as structured databases like SQL and Oracle is highly desirable.
Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills.
Candidates with experience selling into federal civilian accounts may be given preference.
