Job Description
A Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer specializing in enterprise storage and digital transformation for the public sector, responsible for designing, architecting, and demonstrating storage solutions to support government initiatives and drive revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, architect, and deploy secure, sustainable data solutions for public sector clients.
- Understand customer business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Collaborate with sales teams and partners to drive revenue and customer success.
- Lead technical evaluations, benchmarks, and system configurations.
- Create and deliver technical presentations and responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
- Identify and develop new opportunities for interoperability and performance testing.
- Stay current with industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.
- Support digital transformation initiatives, including cloud, on-premises, and container architectures.
Requirements
- Pre-sales experience is required
- 5 or more years of relevant experience in supporting the sales of enterprise storage, networking, systems, cloud, or software to enterprise accounts, with specific experience in the Public Sector within the country
- Deep understanding of the architecture, design, and implementation of multi-tiered client-server and web-based computing solutions
- Experience supporting the sales of storage, networking, or related technology solutions to enterprise accounts
- Contribute significant portions and/or lead responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs
- Superior knowledge of current and emerging storage architectures including FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, SAN, Linux, NFS file systems, and Linux distributed network environment
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP
- Experience with installation and configuration of distributed computing, multiprocessing, virtual memory subsystem, storage subsystems architecture, shared memory architectures, cache architectures, and windowing systems
- Familiarity with containers, Kubernetes (K8s), and Microservices architectures
- Strong knowledge of digital transformation to Cloud Native architecture, On-Premises, Public Cloud, Provisioning Automation, and Containers
- Knowledge of VMware, Local Area Networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and general networking
- Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills
- BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other technical degree, or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with modern web architecture such as LAMP stack, scale-out vs scale-up architectures, AWS well-architected framework, and Microservices architecture
- Curiosity and passion for technology, with the ability to explain and demonstrate new technology platforms and concepts to customers
- Willingness to work from the Riyadh office in compliance with company policies
- Familiarity with storage-intensive applications and their requirements, such as structured databases like SQL and Oracle, is highly desirable
