Job Description
A systems administrator role responsible for supporting and troubleshooting Windows, macOS, Linux, cloud, and VMware environments, developing automation solutions, and collaborating with IT teams to ensure efficient system operations in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and troubleshoot Windows, macOS, and Linux environments on physical, cloud, and VMware platforms
- Troubleshoot and repair desktop technologies, printers, handheld devices, and audio/video equipment
- Procure software and hardware from local vendors
- Perform general system administration duties
- Develop and implement automation solutions for routine tasks
- Collaborate with IT teams to define and document policies, procedures, and system monitoring processes
- Support regional events and training sessions
Requirements
- Three years of systems administrative experience.
- Operational level knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux administration and engineering.
- Working knowledge and hands-on experience working with VMware.
- Ability to diagnose hardware OS problems and to optimize system setups for complex application environments.
- Ability to program in an administrative language such as Perl, Python, Ruby, or PowerShell.
- Understanding of enterprise class SAN, NAS, and backup technologies.
- Understanding of load balancing, clustering, and DNS troubleshooting skills in these areas.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with management.
- Capable of writing proposals, procedures, policies, and technical documentation.
- Professional command of the English language, both written and verbal.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
