Job Description
A Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer responsible for designing and presenting storage and data solutions to support digital transformation initiatives in the public sector, primarily focusing on enterprise storage, cloud, and networking technologies, while collaborating closely with sales teams and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, architect, and deploy secure, sustainable data solutions for government clients to support Vision 2030 initiatives
- Understand customer business needs and translate them into technical solutions
- Collaborate with sales teams and partners to create strategies that drive revenue and new business
- Present technical product and architecture solutions to customers to secure technical wins
- Lead evaluations, benchmarks, and system configurations for storage solutions
- Respond to RFI, RFP, and RFQ documents with tailored technical responses
- Identify and develop new opportunities for interoperability and performance testing
- Stay current with industry trends, competition, and emerging storage architectures
- Support pre-sales activities supporting enterprise storage, networking, cloud, and software solutions
Requirements
- Pre-sales experience is required with 5 or more years of relevant experience in technology, design, and communications.
- Deep understanding of the architecture, design, and implementation of multi-tiered client-server and web-based computing solutions.
- Experience supporting the sales of enterprise storage, networking, systems, cloud, or software to enterprise accounts.
- Contribute significant portions and/or lead responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
- Superior knowledge of current and emerging storage architectures including FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, SAN, Linux, NFS file systems, and Linux distributed network environment.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP cloud platforms.
- Installation and configuration experience of distributed computing, multiprocessing, virtual memory subsystems, storage subsystems architecture, shared memory architectures, cache architectures, and windowing systems.
- Familiarity with containers, Kubernetes (K8s), and Microservices architectures.
- Strong knowledge of digital transformation to Cloud Native architecture, including On-Premises, Public Cloud, Provisioning Automation, and Containers.
- Knowledge of VMware, Local Area Networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and general networking concepts.
- Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills.
- BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other technical degree, or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with modern web architecture such as LAMP stack, scale-out vs scale-up architectures, AWS well-architected framework, and Microservices architecture.
- Curiosity and passion for technology, with the ability to explain and demonstrate new technology platforms and concepts to customers.
- Must work from the Riyadh office in compliance with company policies unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
- Familiarity with storage-intensive applications and their requirements, such as structured databases like SQL and Oracle.
