The Partner Technical Manager is responsible for providing technical guidance, training, and support to partners, helping them design, deploy, and optimize Pure Storage solutions while collecting feedback to improve products and partner programs.
Key Responsibilities
Provide expert technical guidance, support, and enablement to partners in designing, deploying, and selling Pure Storage solutions
Design and deliver training sessions, certifications, and enablement programs to enhance partner expertise
Collaborate with partners on Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and technical validations to demonstrate solution value
Serve as a technical consultant to assist partners in architecting and optimizing storage infrastructures using Pure's technology
Collect and communicate partner feedback to internal teams for product and program improvements
Support partner-driven opportunities by leading technical strategies and coordinating with sales and engineering teams
Stay informed on industry trends such as cloud, automation, and storage innovations to provide thought leadership
Requirements
In-depth knowledge of Pure Storage technology, encompassing Scale-Up and Scale-Out architectures.
Proficiency in storage automation, DevOps, and AIOps methodologies.
Experience with modern virtualization and cloud environments.
Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerization (e.g., Portworx by Pure) is advantageous but not required.
Superior communication skills for delivering technical training and partner enablement.
Fluency in both Swiss-German and English; French language skills would be ideal.
Robust relationship-building skills to cultivate and sustain productive partnerships.
Capability to effectively present and articulate Pure s portfolio, Evergreen Storage Subscription Services, and cloud strategy.
At least 3 years of experience in technical pre-sales, partner enablement, or solutions engineering roles.
Demonstrated success in leading technical teams and executing Proof of Concepts (PoCs).
Experience in delivering technical training and certifications to partners.
Industry-recognized certifications in virtualization, cloud technologies, and third-party hardware/software solutions are advantageous.
Kubernetes-related certifications (e.g., Certified Kubernetes Administrator - CKA, or Red Hat Certified Specialist in Containers and Kubernetes) are a plus, particularly for supporting Portworx by Pure.
