The role involves developing and managing relationships with distribution partners in Japan to drive business growth, collaborate with internal teams, and represent Pure Storage as a strategic partner in the data storage industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage relationships with distribution partners in Japan.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver business growth through distribution partners.
- Assess market growth opportunities and build initiatives based on strategic analysis.
- Gain and strengthen executive sponsorship to facilitate collaboration.
- Streamline operational processes such as quoting, logistics, invoicing, and demo equipment management.
- Drive sales, technical, and marketing capabilities at distribution partners.
- Develop technology alliance solutions to generate incremental pipeline.
Requirements
- Ability to develop and manage relationships with distribution partners in Japan.
- Experience working in a role that involves collaborating with Partner Technical Managers, Sales, Technical, Channel, Support, and Marketing teams.
- Ability to assess growth opportunities in the market based on partners' strategy, industry customer trends, and Pure Storage's global regional strategy.
- Ability to build concrete initiatives based on growth strategy and follow through with tenacity to deliver results.
- Ability to gain and strengthen executive sponsorship to accelerate collaboration.
- Ability to serve as the main point of contact representing Pure Storage to Distribution Partners in Japan.
- Experience in streamlining operational engagement processes such as quoting, logistics, invoicing, and demo equipment between distribution partners and the company.
- Experience in developing and driving sales, technical, and marketing capabilities at distribution partners in partnership with internal teams.
- Ability to drive incremental pipeline through technology alliance solutions.
- Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to represent the company and realize larger impacts through partnerships.
- Demonstrated ability to grow business with distribution partners in related industry products and services.
- Strong collaboration skills with multiple stakeholders who are not necessarily in a direct report-to organizational structure.
- Fluency in Japanese (native-level) and English to ensure effective communication and global alignment.
