Job Description
The role involves leading the reliability, scalability, and automation of the company's global artifact management infrastructure, including designing, operating, and optimizing distributed systems, implementing DevOps best practices, and collaborating across teams to ensure high performance and resilience in a hybrid-cloud environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, operate, and scale distributed Artifactory clusters to ensure high availability and performance.
- Implement SRE and DevOps best practices by automating manual interventions and managing event streaming systems.
- Own the health of production storage environments through incident response and troubleshooting.
- Build and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and troubleshooting guides.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and self-healing systems using scripting languages like Python, Go, and Bash.
Requirements
- Proven ability to manage complex applications across hybrid-cloud environments including AWS, Azure, and on-premises infrastructure such as VMware and Kubernetes.
- Advanced proficiency in scripting and programming languages including Python, Go, and Bash used specifically for infrastructure automation, reliability engineering, and system integration.
- Hands-on experience leveraging monitoring and observability tools like Datadog, Elastic, or Prometheus to proactively identify and resolve system degradation before it impacts users.
- Experience working within Agile frameworks and using Jira to manage high-priority tasks and drive issues to resolution in a fast-paced production environment.
- Exceptional communication skills with a track record of taking ownership of core systems, applying constructive feedback, and leading cross-functional troubleshooting efforts.
- Ability to design, operate, and scale distributed Artifactory clusters to ensure 24/7 availability and performance for mission-critical engineering workflows.
- Experience implementing SRE and DevOps best practices by automating manual interventions and managing event streaming systems like RabbitMQ or Kafka to ensure seamless data flow.
- Ability to participate in business-hour on-call rotations and resolve complex hardware and software bottlenecks to maintain the health of production storage environments.
- Experience building and maintaining high-quality technical documentation, runbooks, and troubleshooting guides to empower engineering teams.
- Deep infrastructure expertise managing applications across hybrid-cloud environments including AWS, Azure, and on-premises infrastructure such as VMware and Kubernetes.
