Job Description
The role involves designing and implementing high-performance, reliable storage software and algorithms, contributing to cloud integration, and solving complex systems challenges to enhance data storage solutions for mission-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver high-reliability storage features
- Own end-to-end development of algorithms and software for high-performance storage systems
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex system challenges to optimize performance and resilience
- Develop features for cloud integration and platform expansion
- Ensure platform features maintain simplicity, non-disruptive upgrades, and high customer satisfaction
Requirements
- Experience in systems programming with languages such as C, C++, Python, Go, or Java, demonstrated through the successful delivery of complex software projects.
- Deep experience in one or more related systems software domains, including Distributed Systems, Operating Systems, Linux Kernel, Database Internals, Hypervisors, Containers, or Compiler Optimization.
- Proven design sensibility and a history of effective collaboration and contribution within a team-oriented environment.
- A strong analytical mindset and persistent approach to solving challenging, ambiguous technical problems with high-quality, maintainable code.
- Ability to design and deliver high-reliability storage features for highly reliable six 9s and high-performance systems, ensuring exceptional customer experience and meeting demanding business SLAs.
- Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and solve complex problems in areas such as distributed systems, operating system internals, kernel integration, and large-scale data management to optimize performance and resilience.
- Experience in developing features that extend storage solutions into the public cloud, such as CloudSnap and Cloud Block Store for AWS, enabling customers to leverage cloud agility for traditional and cloud-native applications.
- Willingness to work from the Bengaluru, India office in compliance with company policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
