The role involves managing international revenue accounting and accounts receivable processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, supporting deal reviews, leading reporting and audit activities, and driving automation initiatives within a global tech company.
Key Responsibilities
Execute monthly and quarterly international revenue close activities, including contract review, revenue recognition, and deferred revenue reconciliation.
Ensure compliance with ASC 606 and global revenue recognition policies.
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for revenue and AR accounts.
Collaborate with regional controllership teams to ensure accuracy of revenue and AR balances.
Support technical accounting research and implementation of new revenue models.
Review deal structures with Deal Desk, Sales Operations, Legal, and FP&A teams to identify accounting implications.
Maintain documentation for revenue transactions and coordinate with auditors on deal-level support.
Lead the preparation of revenue and AR reporting packages, assist with forecasting and trend analysis.
Support internal and external audits related to revenue and AR processes, ensuring SOX compliance.
Identify and implement automation and workflow improvements within revenue processes.
Supervise and mentor junior accountants, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
CPA or international equivalent certification preferred
5 to 7 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally with a mix of Big 4 public accounting and corporate experience
Strong understanding of ASC 606 and experience with multiple revenue models such as SaaS, hardware, and hybrid
Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or NetSuite and tools like Zuora and Salesforce SFDC
Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional partners in a global environment
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills with strong attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deliverables under tight deadlines
Interest or experience in using automation and AI-driven tools to improve accounting operations and reporting efficiency

Experience identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance close efficiency and reporting accuracy
Ability to collaborate with Deal Desk, Sales Operations, Legal, and FP&A teams to review deal structures and identify potential accounting implications
Experience maintaining documentation for revenue transactions and coordinating with auditors on deal-level support
Ability to support internal and external audit requests related to revenue and AR processes
Experience participating in walkthroughs and testing of controls to ensure continuous readiness and accuracy of revenue data
Supervisory experience in mentoring junior accountants and fostering collaboration across global revenue teams
