Job Description
The role involves leading a team of Systems Engineers to support and drive sales of enterprise storage solutions, focusing on technical leadership, customer engagement, and strategic growth in the data storage industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of pre-sales Systems Engineers in enterprise storage solutions.
- Guide technical demand creation, validation, and support for storage products and architectures.
- Translate customer business needs into innovative storage solutions to drive customer success.
- Demonstrate technical leadership in storage, distributed storage architectures, and related technologies.
- Support sales strategy refinement and contribute to technical responses for RFIs and RFPs.
- Identify and pursue new opportunities for interoperability, testing, and market trends.
- Promote thought leadership by staying informed on market and competitive landscape.
Requirements
- 5 years of Management experience leading high performing Sales Engineers selling in Enterprise Accounts
- 10 years experience supporting the sales of storage, networking or systems solutions to a combination of large accounts and data centers
- Deep understanding of the architecture, design and implementation of multi-tiered client server and web-based computing solutions
- Prior experience in setting team strategy to acquire new prospects and converting them into clients
- Knowledge of business impact of current and emerging storage architectures including FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, SAN
- Strong knowledge of digital transformation to a Cloud Native architecture, On-Prem, Public Cloud, Provisioning Automation, and Containers
- Knowledge of VMWare, Local Area Networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP and general networking
- Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills
