The role involves leading hardware architecture and validation for exascale storage solutions, focusing on designing energy-efficient systems, troubleshooting complex hardware issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative storage products for AI and data center applications.
Key Responsibilities
Architect the hardware foundation for exascale storage solutions supporting AI workloads
Lead end-to-end selection, validation, and productization of storage sub-systems
Conduct root-cause analysis for hardware escalations and system failures
Design and implement automated hardware validation ecosystems
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to integrate new sub-systems
Lead hardware qualification processes for high-speed interfaces, NVMe storage, and power systems
Ensure seamless system integration within complex data center environments
Develop scalable test frameworks using Python and BASH to streamline workflows
Requirements
Proven technical leadership in x86 architectures, with mastery of hardware design and a demonstrated ability to lead the qualification of high-speed interfaces, signal integrity, and functional protocols at an enterprise level.
Demonstrated success in architecting and automating large-scale hardware qualification processes, specifically for x86 subcomponents, NVMe storage, and complex power delivery systems.
Deep technical command of rack-scale integration, including high-speed networking fabrics and power distribution, to ensure seamless interoperability within massive, complex data center environments.
Proficiency in Python and BASH scripting to build scalable, intelligent test frameworks that streamline engineering workflows and reduce manual intervention.
Experience in driving hardware strategy and lifecycle management, including orchestrating the end-to-end selection, validation, and productization of storage sub-systems to meet exascale and AI workload demands through expert-level qualification standards.
Ability to lead root-cause analysis efforts for complex hardware escalations and testbed failures, and coordinate analysis efforts with external partners to support system hardening and customer needs.
Experience in designing and implementing sophisticated, automated hardware validation ecosystems that accelerate time-to-market while maintaining high quality standards.
Strong collaboration skills to act as the primary technical liaison between Engineering, Product Management, Operations, and Manufacturing, guiding external vendors from initial concept through sustained production.
Educational background or equivalent experience in hardware design, computer engineering, or related fields.
