Job Description
The role involves developing and executing local marketing strategies in Japan for a B2B technology company, focusing on demand generation, brand management, and digital campaigns, while collaborating with global teams and managing external agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the local marketing strategy for Japan.
- Plan, create, and analyze nationwide demand generation activities, including trade shows, events, seminars, and marketing campaigns.
- Manage demand generation, advertising, brand management, public relations, product marketing, digital, and social media efforts.
- Collaborate with business marketing teams to develop and implement marketing plans.
- Develop reporting mechanisms to track marketing communication project progress.
- Manage the local marketing budget and external agency relations.
- Represent the company in public speaking roles at press, client, and industry events.
- Hire, develop, and lead the Japan marketing team.
- Conduct market research and analyze industry trends.
- Coordinate with regional and global marketing organizations to align strategies.
Requirements
- Experience developing local marketing strategies for a B-to-B company.
- Strong willingness to be hands-on involved in execution of marketing activities.
- Deep knowledge of the business, marketing, and partner sales strategies.
- Technology industry savvy with understanding of IT market trends.
- Knowledge of product marketing and competitor landscape.
- Strong negotiation skills with agencies.
- Budget planning and management experience.
- People management experience, ideally having hired a marketing team in a high-growth environment.
- Native level Japanese language proficiency and business fluency in English.
- Willing and able to work in an open office, team environment.
