The role involves leading regional communications strategies for the Asia Pacific Japan region, including public relations, analyst relations, and executive communications, to enhance the company's visibility and reputation across multiple countries in a fast-paced, innovative technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute regional communications programs aligning with global goals and local business objectives
Manage relationships with journalists, industry analysts, influencers, and internal stakeholders
Create and implement local communications activations and storytelling to support company milestones and thought leadership
Oversee external and internal communications platforms for regional leadership, including media engagement, social channels, and internal messaging
Manage PR agencies, vendors, and spokesperson programs, including media training and message consistency
Handle crisis and issues management within the region
Collaborate with regional and global teams to share ideas and strategies across regions
Manage the APJ communications budget and operations to ensure ROI
Mentor and manage the APJ communications team
Requirements
A minimum of 12-15 years of proven experience ideally a combination of agency and in-house positions in a business-to-business (B2B) technology environment.
Demonstrable success in leading the development and execution of communications strategies and plans including public relations (PR), analyst relations (AR), and executive communications that achieved results across multiple APJ countries.
Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills.
Excellent media and analyst relationships with an interest in developing more.
Understanding of the APJ markets and knowledge of how to localize corporate information for impactful regional execution.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and juggle multiple projects at once.
Experience partnering across different functions such as regional sales leaders, field marketing, global communications, and corporate teams.
Ability to measure communications results against established KPIs.
Experience managing and supporting a network of PR agencies and third-party vendors.
Ability to work across time zones.

Willingness to work primarily in an in-office environment at the Singapore or Sydney location, in compliance with company policies.
