Job Description
A GIS subject matter expert responsible for developing innovative GIS solutions, demonstrating their value to clients, and supporting sales and technical consulting for Esri's software in infrastructure sectors such as water, electric, gas, and telecommunications.
Key Responsibilities
- Build relationships and support the sale of Esri software and solutions to customers.
- Lead technical meetings with enterprise decision-makers to drive revenue.
- Serve as a technical leader and subject matter expert in GIS technology for water, electric, gas, or telecommunications sectors.
- Develop complex GIS solutions aligned with customer business needs and demonstrate their value.
- Design and deliver technical presentations for diverse audiences, including at conferences and executive engagements.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience with Esri technology creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications
- 3 years of experience in water, electric, gas, and/or telecommunications industries
- Broad knowledge of ArcGIS from an IT context such as hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, virtualization, and cloud computing
- Demonstrated experience in technical consulting and conceptual solution design
- Understanding of sales and business development processes
- Ability to troubleshoot client issues related to Esri application deployment and system architecture
- Experience with geodatabases and underlying DBMS technology
- Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and environments such as Microsoft Azure or AWS
- Experience integrating software solutions with other business systems including data warehousing, BI, CRM, ERP, and analytics platforms
- Programming and scripting experience with languages such as Python and JavaScript
- Remarkable presentation, interpersonal, and listening skills
- Bachelor’s degree in geography, computer science, engineering, or a related field
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%
- Experience incorporating real-time information streams with existing GIS data and IT infrastructure (preferred)
- Knowledge of digitalization strategies that include mobile, IoT, advanced analytics, data science, AI, ML, and imagery (preferred)
- Experience with enterprise GIS system administration (preferred)
- Master’s degree in geography, computer science, or a related field (preferred)
