The role involves leading regional business and technical strategies for specific workloads in AI, analytics, and high-performance computing, driving growth, technical wins, and ecosystem engagement through strategic account management, technical expertise, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Own the business success and drive growth of the assigned workload across the APJ region.
Develop and execute regional workload business plans with measurable goals and actions.
Engage with strategic accounts to identify opportunities, support workload expansion, and influence long-term architecture decisions.
Act as a subject matter expert for the workload, demonstrating technical mastery and driving technical wins.
Collaborate with partners and ecosystem stakeholders to strengthen workload positioning and enablement.
Lead technical demonstrations, architecture reviews, and workshops to support solution adoption.
Maintain operational excellence through accurate opportunity tracking, field engagement, and documenting customer success stories.
Requirements
Fluency in Japanese and proficiency in English.
An advanced degree in computer science, engineering, or mathematics.
At least 10 years of experience with AI ML systems across various aspects including Large Language Models (LLMs), distributed training and inference optimization, data modeling, high-performance computing (HPC), and/or cloud infrastructure with a special emphasis in areas of Compute, Storage, and Networking.
Proficiency with PyTorch, Ray, Kubernetes, and GPU clusters including NVIDIA and AMD hardware.
Highly motivated, independent, and self-starting with the ability to think innovatively and outside the box.
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
Experience producing solution collateral for customers such as presentations, short papers, demos, proofs of concept, and creating public content like blogs, webinars, or podcasts to drive thought leadership.
Willingness to promote a culture of collaboration by partnering with solution stakeholders across sales, alliance, and marketing teams.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Effective communication skills to interact constructively with management, peers, coworkers, customers, partners, and key industry stakeholders.
Experience selling complicated technical solutions to customers.
Experience with high-performance storage technologies and data platforms such as Kafka and Spark.
Must be willing to work onsite.
