This role involves leading the engineering team responsible for developing and integrating cloud-native virtualization platforms and storage solutions, focusing on Kubernetes, OpenStack, and Nutanix, to redefine data storage in virtualized environments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and grow the engineering team responsible for cloud-native and virtualization platform development.
Design and deliver native Kubernetes CSI and virtualization integrations for high-performance storage automation.
Oversee the full development lifecycle, including sprint planning and global release, utilizing AI-driven development practices.
Build and mentor a high-performance engineering culture through hiring, technical mentorship, and career coaching.
Coordinate technical roadmaps and cross-functional dependencies between global engineering hubs.
Partner with QA and Support teams to define and meet reliability KPIs for the virtualization stack.
Requirements
Proven ability to lead engineering teams through the complexities of cloud-native architectures, container orchestration Kubernetes, or enterprise virtualization stacks.
Deep technical proficiency in systems programming such as Go, Java, or C with the ability to provide meaningful code reviews and architectural guidance on core infrastructure services.
A track record of managing complex project lifecycles and hitting delivery milestones in a fast-paced, collaborative environment across multiple geographies.
Demonstrated experience in building inclusive teams, fostering professional development, and managing performance to help every engineer reach their full potential.
Work from the Bangalore office in compliance with Pure Storage policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
