Key Responsibilities
Lead the full software development lifecycle for core file features, ensuring high-quality, scalable code delivery.
Collaborate with architects and Product Management to define the roadmap for multi-server and directory services.
Champion testing strategies and CI/CD practices to ensure operational excellence and defect prevention.
Manage and mentor a team of engineers, providing technical guidance and supporting professional growth.
Coordinate with Protocol and Security teams to ensure smooth releases that meet security and auditing standards.
Requirements
Demonstrated ability to lead and scale software engineering teams, with a focus on fostering a collaborative and inclusive engineering culture.
Extensive technical background in building large-scale distributed systems, storage, or filesystems, including the ability to perform deep-dive code reviews in languages like C, Go, Java, or Python.
Proven track record of shipping complex infrastructure products using Agile methodologies, with the analytical skills to navigate ambiguity and manage stakeholder expectations in a global organization.
Solid understanding of end-to-end quality practices and a deep appreciation for the customer experience, specifically regarding how file protocols and directory services impact enterprise environments.
Experience managing and mentoring a team of 5 to 8 engineers, providing technical guidance on complex distributed systems challenges while actively coaching them through career growth and professional development.
Ability to lead the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) for core file features, ensuring the team delivers high-quality, scalable code from initial design through production rollout.
Ability to partner with senior architects and Product Management to define the roadmap for multi-server and directory services, making critical trade-offs that balance innovative feature delivery with long-term system stability.
Experience championing rigorous testing strategies and CI/CD health, fostering a culture of operational excellence and defect prevention.
Ability to align team objectives with global business goals by managing dependencies across Protocol and Security teams, ensuring smooth, predictable releases that meet security and auditing standards.
Work from the Prague office in compliance with company policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
