Job Description
The role involves leading and developing a high-performing enterprise sales team in Germany to drive customer modernization and growth with Pure Storage's data platform, focusing on strategic account management, deal orchestration, and building strong partner relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, coach, and scale a high-performing Enterprise sales team in Germany
- Set sales strategy, elevate execution, and partner across the business to support customer modernization, security, and growth
- Lead, include, and inspire a team of Enterprise Account Executives, SEs, Channel, and Inside Sales, fostering a customer-first and collaborative culture
- Hire, onboard, and develop talent with clear goals, coaching, and career development plans
- Drive operational excellence through accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and KPI improvement
- Manage large, complex deals through executive engagement, value-based selling, and cross-functional coordination
- Build strategic partner relationships to expand reach and capacity
- Lead customer engagement through field visits, call planning, deal inspection, and storytelling
- Achieve consistent results in bookings, new customer acquisition, and team productivity
Requirements
- Significant field sales leadership experience in Data Center or core IT infrastructure, typically 8 years in a competitive, high growth environment.
- Proven track record recruiting, developing, and empowering diverse talent skilled at building inclusive, high performance teams.
- Strength in enterprise selling disciplines including strategic account planning, executive access, value ROI, and partner leverage.
- Operational command in disciplined pipeline creation, forecast accuracy, and data-driven decision making.
- Excellent communication skills in German and English, with executive presence and cross-functional influence.
- Comfortable using CRM and modern sales tools to drive cadence and accountability.
- Ability to lead, include, and inspire a team of Enterprise Account Executives, Sales Engineers, Channel, and Inside Sales teams, including hiring, onboarding, creating clear goals, coaching rhythms, and career paths.
- Ability to drive operational excellence by forecasting with precision, maintaining a healthy pipeline targeting 4x coverage, and improving KPIs across partner alignment, POC management, and conversion.
- Experience orchestrating large, complex deals involving executive engagement, value-based financial selling, and cross-functional coordination to remove friction and win.
- Ability to build strategic partner relationships with principals, leadership, Account Executives, and co-sell plays to expand reach and capacity.
- Experience leading from the front with meaningful customer engagement and field travel, including call planning, deal inspection, and storytelling.
- Willingness to work primarily in an office environment with regular presence in the Munich office, and flexibility for business travel and significant field travel as part of the role.
