Job Description
The role involves leading and managing a sales team in the data storage industry, focusing on building client relationships, driving sales performance, and developing strategic sales initiatives to achieve business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire a team of Enterprise Account Executives and ensure alignment with company values.
- Recruit, develop, and manage the performance of Account Executives and related roles.
- Manage territory planning, forecasting, and pipeline development to meet sales targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with channel partners and key stakeholders.
- Drive sales activities, support key sales presentations, and coordinate resources to close business deals.
- Achieve business results including bookings, new logo acquisition, and team quota attainment.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, analyze pipeline data, and implement strategies to meet sales goals.
Requirements
- Must have 8 years successful field sales management experience in storage or core Information Technology infrastructure in a highly competitive environment.
- Experience selling to IT departments and IT management is required.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and be able to clearly and effectively articulate Pure Storage s value.
- Proven track record of recruitment and associate development.
- Must be organized, detail and process oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and use good judgment in identifying root causality and problem solving.
- Ability to coordinate Pure Storage resources to execute a complex sales strategy.
- Ability to use CRM and other online tools effectively.
- Significant field travel expected.
- Ability to lead and inspire a team of Enterprise Account Executives, ensure team performance related to KPIs including pipeline growth, forecast accuracy, partner team alignment, and POC management, and maintain a 4X pipeline to goal.
- Ability to deliver business results including annual bookings goal, new logo production, and AE participation at or above goal.
- Experience recruiting, developing, and maintaining strong relationships with channel partner principals, AEs, and leadership teams.
- Ability to provide leadership to the extended Pure Storage team aligned to your district, including SEs, Channel Managers, Inside Sales reps, etc.
- Experience in performance management of a sales team.
- Ability to deliver strategic direction to the sales team and support key sales presentations.
- Must be living in or willing to relocate to the Albany, NY, Rochester, NY, or Hartford, CT areas.

Annual base salary range of $152,500 to $244,000 USD
