Job Description

The role involves leading and managing a sales team focused on data storage solutions, building strategic relationships, driving sales performance, and achieving business targets in a competitive technology environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire a team of Enterprise Account Executives and ensure alignment with company values
  • Recruit, develop, and manage the performance of account executives and extended sales team members
  • Manage territory planning, forecasting, and pipeline development to meet sales targets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with channel partners and key stakeholders
  • Drive sales activities, support key sales presentations, and coordinate resources to close deals
  • Achieve business goals including bookings, new logo acquisition, and team quota attainment
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, analyze sales data, and implement strategies for improvement
  • Travel extensively for client engagement and team management

Requirements

  • A minimum of 8 years successful field sales management experience in storage or core Information Technology infrastructure in a highly competitive environment.
  • Experience selling to IT departments and IT management is required.
  • Proven track record of recruitment and associate development.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly and effectively articulate Pure Storage's value.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and use good judgment in identifying root causality and problem solving.
  • Ability to coordinate Pure Storage resources to execute a complex sales strategy.
  • Experience using CRM and other online tools effectively.
  • Ability to deliver business results including annual bookings goal, new logo production, and ensuring Account Executives participate at or above goal.
  • Significant field travel is expected.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team of Enterprise Account Executives, including hiring additional Account Executives as the business demands.
  • Experience managing and enabling team performance related to KPIs such as pipeline growth, partner team alignment, forecast accuracy, and POC management.
  • Ability to maintain a 4X pipeline to goal at all times.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with channel partner principals, Account Executives, and leadership teams.
  • Ability to deliver weekly reviews of activities and pipeline, and take corrective actions if pipeline is insufficient to deliver the plan.
  • Living in or willing to relocate to the Albany, NY, Rochester, NY, or Hartford, CT areas.
