Job Description
The role involves leading and managing a team of account executives in the storage and IT infrastructure industry, driving sales growth, building strategic relationships, and achieving business targets through effective team development and sales strategy execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire a team of Enterprise Account Executives and ensure alignment with company values
- Recruit, develop, and manage Account Executives and related roles
- Manage team performance related to KPIs such as pipeline growth, forecast accuracy, and quota attainment
- Build and maintain strong relationships with channel partners and key stakeholders
- Drive sales activities, support sales presentations, and coordinate resources to close business
- Achieve business targets including bookings, new logo acquisition, and team participation goals
- Conduct regular pipeline reviews and ensure sufficient pipeline to meet sales plans
- Utilize CRM and online tools for sales tracking and management
- Perform performance management and provide strategic direction to the sales team
Requirements
- Five (5) years of successful field sales management experience in storage or core Information Technology infrastructure in a highly competitive environment.
- Experience selling to IT departments and IT management is required.
- Proven track record of recruitment and associate development.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Strong written communication skills and ability to clearly and effectively articulate Pure Storage's value.
- Must be organized, detail-oriented, and process-oriented.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and use good judgment in identifying root causality and problem solving.
- Ability to coordinate Pure Storage resources to execute a complex sales strategy.
- Ability to use CRM and other online tools effectively.
- Significant field travel expected.
- Ability to lead and inspire a team of Enterprise Account Executives, ensuring team members attain or over-achieve quota.
- Ability to deliver business results including annual bookings goal, new logo production, and AE participation at or above goal.
- Weekly review of activities and pipeline, with the ability to identify and address pipeline insufficiencies.
- Experience in recruiting, developing, and maintaining strong relationships with channel partner principals, AEs, and leadership teams.
- Ability to establish strong business relationships at the executive level and support key sales presentations.
- Ability to provide strategic direction to the sales team in coordinating multiple resources within an account and successfully closing business.
- Must work from the Tokyo office in compliance with company policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
