Job Description
The role involves leading and managing a sales team in the data storage industry, driving business growth through strategic account management, team development, and channel partner relationships, primarily in the Tokyo office.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire a team of Enterprise Account Executives and ensure alignment with company values.
- Recruit, develop, and manage Account Executives and related roles to meet business needs.
- Manage team performance related to KPIs such as pipeline growth, forecast accuracy, and quota attainment.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with channel partners and key stakeholders.
- Drive sales activities, including sales calls and strategic account management, to achieve bookings and new logo acquisition.
- Conduct regular reviews of pipeline, activities, and team performance to ensure sales targets are met.
- Support the execution of complex sales strategies through coordination of internal resources.
- Travel extensively for field activities and client engagement.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years successful field sales management experience in storage or core Information Technology infrastructure in a highly competitive environment.
- Experience selling to IT departments and IT management is required.
- Proven track record of recruitment and associate development.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Strong written communication skills and ability to clearly and effectively articulate Pure Storage s value.
- Must be organized, detail-oriented, and process-oriented.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and use good judgment in identifying root causality and problem solving.
- Ability to coordinate Pure Storage resources to execute a complex sales strategy.
- Ability to use CRM and other online tools effectively.
- Ability to establish strong business relationships at the executive level.
- Ability to support key sales presentations and provide strategic direction to the sales team.
- Ability to lead and inspire a team of Enterprise Account Executives and ensure team performance related to KPIs including pipeline growth, partner team alignment, forecast accuracy, and POC management.
- Maintain a 4X pipeline to goal at all times.
- Deliver business results including annual bookings goal, new logo production, and AE participation at or above goal.
- Significant field travel is expected.
- Ability to work from the Tokyo office in compliance with company policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
