Job Description

The Distribution Alliance Marketing Manager for APJ is responsible for developing and executing regional marketing strategies to support distributor and alliance partnerships, driving pipeline growth, and ensuring alignment between global initiatives and local market needs within the high-tech SaaS infrastructure sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy marketing programs to generate Net New Logo (NNL) pipeline with Distributors
  • Develop and execute integrated regional marketing plans for key Distributors
  • Build and maintain relationships with Distributors and guide local teams on joint campaigns
  • Collaborate with global marketing teams to localize and implement corporate programs in APJ
  • Coordinate with regional Field Marketing Managers to integrate alliance-led activities into territory plans
  • Create co-marketing efforts with Technology Alliances and Distributors to enhance market positioning
  • Translate global alliance messaging into localized success stories for APJ
  • Identify opportunities to expand ecosystem reach through Meet in the Channel marketing
  • Operate as a strategic overlay to regional Field Marketing, ensuring joint initiatives are executed effectively
  • Act as a feedback loop between Field Marketing, Distributors, and Global Marketing to reflect local needs
  • Foster relationships with Channel Sales to ensure marketing initiatives support sales goals
  • Represent Pure Storage at key industry events and planning sessions as a brand ambassador
  • Track and optimize MDF budgets and KPIs to ensure program impact and compliance
  • Provide data-driven insights to optimize marketing strategies and ensure alignment with global programs

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in B2B Channel or Partner Marketing, specifically within the High-Tech SaaS Infrastructure sector.
  • Expertise in leading by influence to gain buy-in from regional Field Marketing teams and distributor stakeholders without direct reporting authority.
  • Proven track record of coordinating across diverse teams to ensure unified execution and shared success.
  • Demonstrated regional marketing management experience across diverse APJ markets such as ASEAN, ANZ, India, Japan, and Korea.
  • Fluency in English is required; professional proficiency in a secondary language is highly preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% as part of the role.
  • Expert-level knowledge of MDF (Market Development Funds) management, ensuring compliance and maximizing ROI.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce and Partner Relationship Management (PRM) platforms.
  • Experience with Tableau or similar Business Intelligence tools for pipeline reporting is a major plus.
  • Strong negotiation skills to influence distributor or alliance executives and secure marketing budget and share.
  • Ability to translate vision and strategy into business outcomes for annual marketing plans and executive summaries.
