Job Description
The Distribution Account Manager (DAM) at Pure Storage is responsible for developing and managing relationships with distribution partners to drive business growth, improve operational processes, and expand market presence through strategic initiatives and collaboration with internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies to foster long-term business growth through Distribution Partners.
- Assess market growth opportunities based on partner strategies and industry trends.
- Build and implement initiatives aligned with growth strategies.
- Gain and strengthen executive sponsorship to facilitate collaboration with partners.
- Represent Pure Storage as the main point of contact to Distribution Partners.
- Streamline operational processes such as quoting, logistics, invoicing, and demo equipment engagement.
- Develop and enhance sales, technical, and marketing capabilities at Distribution Partners.
- Create and manage distributor marketing plans and enablement activities.
- Collaborate with Distributors to increase sales and convert new partners into active accounts.
- Leverage distributor relationships to generate incremental pipeline through technology alliances.
- Conduct quarterly business reviews and finalize annual business plans with distributors.
- Align with global priorities, strategies, and programs in partnership with theater distribution leads.
Requirements
- Experience and familiarity with the distributor landscape in the country or region.
- Proficiency in English.
- A very strategic mind with ability to represent the company, with a strong desire to realize larger impacts through partnership.
- Demonstrated ability to grow business with distribution partners in related industry products and services.
- Strong ability to collaborate with many layers of stakeholders who are not necessarily in direct report-to organizational structure.
