Job Description

The role involves leading and managing a technical sales engineering team supporting strategic telecommunications clients, overseeing pre-sales activities, building customer relationships, and aligning technical solutions with business goals to drive customer success and company growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Systems Engineers to achieve their full potential.
  • Oversee the technical pre-sales process to support sales opportunities effectively.
  • Engage with key customers to understand their technical requirements and provide tailored solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships as a trusted advisor.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of regional sales strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and improve customer outcomes.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a technical pre-sales or Systems Engineering (SE) leadership role within the Telecommunications sector.
  • Strong technical background with expertise in storage solutions and related technologies.
  • Extensive background and experience, highly credible within the Telecommunications sector.
  • Ability to see the bigger picture of how Pure solutions can benefit customers and build long-term relationships.
  • Excellent leadership and team coaching and management skills, including the ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team of SEs to achieve their full potential.
  • Experience conducting regular performance reviews and providing constructive feedback to team members.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with sales leaders to develop and execute account strategies.
  • Ability to oversee the technical pre-sales process, ensuring high-quality support to the sales team, and ensuring SEs are equipped with necessary tools, training, and resources.
  • Experience engaging with key customers to understand their technical requirements and provide tailored solutions.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Experience supporting SEs in delivering technical presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept engagements.
  • Ability to contribute to the development and execution of regional sales strategy and align SE activities with company strategic goals.
  • Experience monitoring and reporting on key performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Ability to participate in cross-functional initiatives to drive innovation and improve customer outcomes, working closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Customer Support teams.
  • Understanding of Telco customer needs, including drivers, visions, pain points, and the ability to explain these to the team and customers.
  • Work from the Staines-Upon-Thames or London UK offices in compliance with company policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
