Job Description
The District Manager for SLED West leads a sales team focused on expanding data storage solutions within the public sector, driving revenue growth, building strategic partnerships, and managing complex sales strategies to position the company as a market leader in infrastructure solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and scale the sales team by recruiting, mentoring, and retaining top Account Executives and Systems Engineers.
- Drive revenue growth by achieving annual bookings and new logo targets with a strong pipeline-to-quota ratio.
- Build and maintain strategic alliances with channel partners to expand public sector accounts.
- Provide executive-level guidance on complex sales cycles and coordinate internal resources to close deals.
- Manage team KPIs, conduct pipeline reviews, and foster a culture of accountability and high performance.
Requirements
- Experience leading field sales teams within the IT infrastructure or storage industry, specifically focused on navigating the nuances of the State, Local, and Education (SLED) market.
- Ability to articulate complex value propositions persuasively to C-suite IT leaders and public sector stakeholders, demonstrating executive presence.
- Proven track record of recruiting, mentoring, and retaining top-tier Account Executives and Systems Engineers to meet the evolving demands of the SLED West business.
- Experience driving predictable revenue growth by leading teams to achieve annual bookings and new logo targets, maintaining a pipeline-to-quota ratio of at least 4X through precise forecasting and active proof of concept management.
- Ability to build and sustain strategic alliances with channel partner principals and leadership, ensuring the company is the preferred partner for critical public sector accounts.
- Experience providing executive-level direction on complex sales cycles, coordinating internal resources, and participating in high-stakes presentations to close business and expand market footprint.
- Ability to foster a culture of accountability and high performance by managing team KPIs, conducting weekly pipeline reviews, and ensuring team members are positioned to over-achieve their quotas.
- Proficiency in strategic territory planning and operational excellence in sales management.
- Mastery of CRM tools and data-driven decision-making to identify root causes, solve sales bottlenecks, and execute complex territory strategies.
