Job Description

The role involves leading and managing a high-performing team of Pre-Sales Systems Engineers to drive strategic growth in data storage solutions, while aligning technical vision with sales objectives and fostering a strong company culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire a team of Pre-Sales Systems Engineers to drive strategic outcomes and support sales efforts.
  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies to grow revenue and achieve sales goals.
  • Manage pipeline analysis, forecasting, and technical reporting to support sales activities.
  • Hire, retain, and develop a high-performing team of SE Managers and Systems Engineers.
  • Align technical messaging and strategies across cross-functional teams and partner organizations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal teams, partners, and industry networks.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and forums to promote products and solutions.

Requirements

  • 15 years of experience in a field Pre-sales position.
  • Experience leading a team with direct management responsibilities in a large geography.
  • Previous experience supporting the growth of a rapidly expanding organization and managed initiatives aimed at achieving 20% revenue growth.
  • Willingness to travel as needed on a regular basis.
  • Ability to support and develop a high-performing team of SE Managers and Systems Engineers, including hiring, retaining, mentoring, coaching, and conducting regular 1-1s.
  • Experience in setting technical vision and developing top Sales Engineer talent.
  • Experience in aligning Pre-Sales strategy with go-to-market priorities and establishing long-term, sustainable growth plans.
  • Ability to analyze pipeline and forecast from a technical perspective, including reporting and analysis.
  • Experience in building and maintaining relationships with technical counterparts within regional Alliance and Channel partners.
  • Strong communication skills to cascade goals and technical messages throughout teams and cross-functional organizations.
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical issues and enhancement requests from customers to technical support, product management, and R&D teams.
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity to understand customer business challenges, industry trends, and competition.
  • Self-development in technical and leadership soft skills.
  • High degree of ethics and personal integrity, treating people with respect at all times.
  • Strong accountability and ownership of responsibilities.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes and make necessary operational adjustments.
  • Active contributor and executive sponsor for larger opportunities within the region.
  • Participation in regional industry events, conferences, forums, and seminars as a thought leader.
  • Strong understanding of technical solutions, data storage industry, and related technologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal teams, partners, and customers.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and cascade information across teams.
  • Experience supporting the growth of a large organization with initiatives aimed at achieving significant revenue growth.
  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (implied by the 15 years of experience requirement).

Salary range: 182,000 - 291,200 USD annually
