Job Description
The Strategic Alliance Director is responsible for leading and developing worldwide alliance relationships with key technology companies to drive revenue and strategic success, by fostering executive relationships, developing joint business plans, and aligning go-to-market strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop Pure Storage's alliance relationships with key technology companies.
- Position Pure Storage as a strategic partner through mutually agreed business plans to achieve financial goals.
- Build and maintain executive relationships with alliance counterparts and internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate across divisions to foster collaboration and develop best practices within alliances.
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies that align with alliance and business objectives.
- Create and implement a 5-year alliance plan in conjunction with annual targets.
- Represent Pure Storage as an internal ambassador for focus alliances.
- Navigate corporate events and strategic evolutions to advance alliance positioning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience leading focus alliance specific relationships
- 9 years of professional experience in a role that has consistently achieved revenue and technical business development targets with alliances
- Experience in developing a 5-year alliance plan in conjunction with yearly target achievement
- Established relationships with focus alliances executives and business line leaders
- Track record of establishing successful field-facing and product Business Unit senior level relationships
- Strong understanding of the operations and motivations of Technology Alliances
- Outstanding communication and executive skills including evangelism proficiency
- Exceptional collaboration skills with multiple cross-functional stakeholders from technical to commercial divisions
- Willing and able to travel where relevant as part of the role
