As a Data Center Engineer III, you serve as a key technical authority responsible for the reliability and evolution of our mission-critical infrastructure. You will own complex implementations and capacity strategy for our global sites, transforming high-level designs into high-performance physical environments. By partnering across Engineering and Facilities teams, you ensure our data centers are scalable, efficient, and standardized, acting as a vital bridge between regional operations and global infrastructure goals.
• Execute Complex Infrastructure Projects: Own the planning and technical delivery of major site build-outs, large-scale migrations, and high-density deployments, ensuring all work meets rigorous performance and resiliency standards.
• Drive Capacity Strategy: Lead the capacity lifecycle for assigned sites by modeling space, power, and cooling requirements to provide data-backed forecasting and risk mitigation strategies to stakeholders.
• Standardize Operational Excellence: Define and refine regional engineering standards for rack design, power distribution, and structured cabling, ensuring consistency and best practices are maintained across all data halls.
• Manage Critical Site Relationships: Serve as the technical point of escalation for colocation providers and vendors to coordinate infrastructure upgrades, resolve service-level gaps, and oversee complex maintenance activities.
• Optimize System Reliability: Analyze incident trends and utilization data to drive continuous improvements, implementing automation or process enhancements that reduce operational risk and improve site uptime.
• We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Dallas, Texas office in compliance with Everpure's policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
• Advanced Technical Mastery: Deep expertise in mechanical, electrical, and IT infrastructure, including sophisticated power distribution, cooling strategies (ASHRAE standards), and high-density environment management.
• Strategic Analytical Skills: Proven ability to interpret complex capacity and utilization data to make engineering recommendations that balance technical requirements with business growth.
• Project & Incident Ownership: Extensive experience managing large-scale infrastructure deployments and serving as a technical lead during critical incident response efforts to ensure rapid resolution.
• Cross-Functional Influence: Strong communication skills with a track record of collaborating with remote engineering, real estate, and facilities teams to negotiate technical requirements and SLAs.
• Operational Leadership: Proficiency in DCIM and asset management tools, combined with the ability to provide technical guidance to Level I and II engineers to elevate the overall team’s technical bar.
