This is a senior, customer-facing technical role within the Customer Success organization. We are looking for a deeply technical leader who can partner with Japanese customers, communicate effectively in Japanese (written and spoken), and guide them toward operational excellence with Portworx.
• Work directly with customer architects and senior administrators to design, deploy, and optimize mission-critical applications—including databases—within Kubernetes and other container orchestration environments using Portworx.
• Provide advanced technical escalation support to our Technical Support Engineering team.
• Lead joint solution development with technology partners to expand the Portworx ecosystem and drive deeper interoperability.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers and collaborate closely with sales teams to ensure successful adoption, expansion, and long-term satisfaction.
• Build and deliver compelling demos, reference architectures, and best practices that highlight the value of Portworx in cloud-native and hybrid environments.
• Create high-quality technical content in Japanese, including deployment guides, implementation documents, operational runbooks, and customer-facing solution material.
• Support daily customer deployment, integration, and optimization activities throughout the lifecycle of Portworx adoption.
• Provide expert-level technical guidance during all phases of customer engagement, especially with strategic and enterprise accounts in Japan.
• Native-level Japanese language proficiency , including strong technical writing ability, and professional-level English communication skills.
• Deep knowledge of compute infrastructure, storage systems, and container orchestration technologies across both on-premises and cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure, including their storage and compute services.
• Strong proficiency in at least one of the following:
• Practical experience with DevOps and automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, and GitLab CI/CD.
• Familiarity with observability and monitoring platforms like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or Splunk.
• Senior-level experience in a customer-facing role with the ability to distill complex technical concepts into clear, actionable guidance.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with customers and internal engineering teams, particularly when handling escalations or driving product improvements.
