The Field Solutions Architect role involves providing technical expertise and strategic guidance in data protection, cyber resiliency, unstructured data, AI, and file object storage to support sales and customer success in modern data environments.
Key Responsibilities
Create technical content, walkthroughs, demos, and qualification guides for Data Protection, Unstructured Data, AI Analytics, and File Object Storage use cases.
Develop enablement materials and strategies for Cyber Resiliency and data ecosystem integrations.
Provide guidance on deployment, management, and optimization of file and object storage solutions.
Participate in customer calls, demos, proofs of concept, and strategy sessions to support pipeline and deal progression.
Maintain expertise in platform features and translate them into enablement plans.
Stay current on emerging data and AI innovations and turn insights into field guidance.
Capture field feedback to influence product roadmap and lead testing of integrations and reference architectures.
Provide post-sales troubleshooting and support for backup, replication, and disaster recovery workflows.
Partner with sales teams to gather feedback and align on regional strategies and campaigns.
Requirements
Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Computer Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
Typically 8 years of pre-sales experience in IT, with depth in Data Protection backup restore, disaster recovery (DR), cyber resilience, and related architectures.
Typically 5 years of experience in IT or cloud infrastructure spanning compute, storage, networking, and distributed systems.
Familiarity with Unstructured Data, AI Analytics, and File Object Storage is a plus.
Fluency in Swedish, Danish, and English.
Technical acumen across Data Protection immutable snapshots, replication, disaster recovery (DR) runbooks, orchestration, ransomware recovery design, and cloud-based protection patterns.
Understanding of the infrastructure underpinning high-performance recovery at scale, including servers, networking, and storage, and how to optimize RPO and RTO across on-premises and cloud environments.
Ability to map customer requirements to architectures and outcomes, and to simplify complex concepts for account teams and partners.
Strong communication skills with the ability to present and explain visually, e.g., diagramming and whiteboarding, to diverse audiences.
Proficiency with productivity tools and CRM opportunity management systems such as Google Workspace and Salesforce.
Experience with the Data Protection ecosystem and Pure integrations including Veeam, Commvault, Veritas NetBackup, Cohesity, Rubrik, Zerto, VMware, Oracle RMAN, Microsoft SQL Server, SAP HANA, and Kubernetes ecosystems such as Portworx and Kasten across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
Experience supporting large Enterprise and Public Sector SLED accounts.
Willingness to travel within the assigned territory and occasionally internationally, approximately 40-60%, with variability by quarter and event cadence.
Reliable follow-through and accountability.
Certifications such as VMCE, Commvault, AWS/Azure/GCP Architect, Kubernetes CKA, or security/cyber resiliency certifications are a plus.
