Job Description
A highly skilled Solutions Architect specializing in database solutions, responsible for designing, validating, and documenting innovative storage and database architectures to support enterprise customers, collaborating across teams, and creating technical content to demonstrate the value of Pure Storage solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, validate, and document database solutions supporting enterprise customer needs.
- Develop technical collateral such as reference architectures, best practices, white papers, and solution briefs.
- Build, validate, and demonstrate solutions using Pure Storage technologies in lab environments.
- Present solutions to customers, partners, and internal teams, translating technical details into business value.
- Collaborate with engineering, product management, and marketing teams to align solutions with go-to-market strategies.
- Create technical marketing content that highlights the value of Pure Storage solutions for database workloads.
- Plan, outline, and publish technical documentation ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Understand customer challenges and deliver practical, impactful solutions.
- Design, document, and validate comprehensive solutions addressing technical and business needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in database architecture, SQL Server, Oracle, and/or enterprise Database solutions, and related technologies.
- Proven ability to execute on strategies and deliver high-quality solutions aligned with organizational goals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering practical and impactful solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to both technical and executive audiences.
- Demonstrated adaptability to learn new technologies and respond to evolving organizational needs.
- Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced setting with minimal supervision.
- In-depth, holistic knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle.
- Deep knowledge of OLAP and OLTP Database.
- Knowledge of Vector Databases.
- Understanding of storage and networking, performance tuning, Kubernetes, scripting languages, and Operating Systems.
- Understanding of block, file, and object storage protocols such as FC, iSCSI, NFS, SMB, and S3, and their application in high performance environments.
- Expertise in hybrid cloud platforms, including public cloud providers AWS, Azure, GCP, and DBaaS technologies and offerings.
- Familiarity with other database systems such as SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and how they integrate into broader architectures.
- Ability to design, document, and validate comprehensive solutions addressing technical and business needs from the complete software stack through the infrastructure environment.
- Ability to develop technical documentation, including reference architectures, best practices, white papers, and solution briefs.
- Experience building, validating, and documenting solutions using Pure Storage technologies in lab environments.
- Ability to present solutions to customers, partners, and internal teams, translating technical details into business value and actionable insights.
- Experience collaborating with engineering, product management, field architects, professional services, and marketing teams to align solutions with go-to-market strategies and customer objectives.
- Ability to support technical marketing efforts by creating impactful content, presentations, and messaging that highlight technical capabilities and customer value.
- Strong troubleshooting capabilities for performance issues.
- Knowledge of Linux, Windows, PowerShell, Bash, Python scripting, IP networking, Ansible, Terraform, and experience with enterprise automation tools and orchestration platforms.
- Understanding of large-scale environments and how to optimize solutions architectures for efficiency and performance.
- Excellent project management skills to manage multiple priorities and tasks within a dynamic work environment.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both verbal and written formats, tailored to the appropriate audience.

Salary range: 168,000 - 299,000 USD annually
