Job Description
This role involves providing technical guidance, enablement, and customer engagement for analytics AI solutions in a pre-sales capacity, focusing on high-performance data pipelines and fostering growth within the data storage industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with account teams to review territory plans and identify AI opportunities within customers.
- Create field-facing solutions content, including technical walkthroughs, demos, and qualification guides.
- Enable the field through solution area enablement projects and training.
- Conduct webinars, events, and presentations to promote Pure Storage solutions.
- Participate in customer engagements such as calls, demos, POCs, and strategy sessions.
- Stay informed on product advancements and formalize enablement plans.
- Contribute to solutions roadmap discussions and provide field feedback to product management.
- Oversee field testing of solutions and document insights.
- Assist in troubleshooting post-sales with expert knowledge of solutions.
- Collaborate with sales and cross-functional teams to align initiatives and gather feedback.
Requirements
- 5 years of Pre-sales experience in IT covering both private and public sector accounts.
- Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Must speak German and English fluently.
- Strong technical acumen in the Analytics AI space with deep interest and vision for the industry, including understanding of the underlying architecture of AI, infrastructure servers, networking, storage, and how various applications technologies such as Splunk, Elastic Search, Kafka, Spark, Snowflake, Vertica, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc., play together at Pure for specific customer outcomes.
- Experience with modern application stacks, including knowledge of Kubernetes, container orchestration, and container-native storage such as Portworx, in the context of AI pipelines.
- Previous hands-on experience executing Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and demonstrations.
- Ability to explain complex concepts in a simple, understandable manner to teach account teams and partners about Pure’s Analytics AI solutions, with excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation skills.
- Ability to participate in customer-facing calls, demos, POCs, Executive Briefing Centers (EBCs), internal strategy sizing sessions, and other solution-focused activities.
- Participation in field testing to document anecdotal knowledge about applications and platforms, bridging the gap between not having a solution and solutions officially testing.
- Post-sales troubleshooting with expert-level knowledge around solutions.
- Ability to work cross-functionally across Solutions, Marketing, Alliances, Engineering, Enablement, Sales, and other teams to align initiatives and go-to-market campaigns.
- Travel up to 50% within the DACH region.
- Strong work ethic, attitude, and follow-through ability.
- Strong technical and tactical problem-solving skills with experience in complex engineering designs.
