Job Description
The role involves providing technical guidance, enablement, and support for Analytics AI solutions in a pre-sales capacity, including creating content, conducting demos, and engaging with clients and partners to drive adoption of Pure Storage's high-performance data storage technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Create field-facing solutions content such as technical walkthroughs, deep dives, demos, and qualification guides for Analytics AI solutions
- Develop enablement materials and conduct webinars, events, and presentations to educate internal teams and partners
- Participate in customer-facing activities including calls, demos, proofs of concept, and strategy sessions
- Stay current with advancements in internal products and solutions, and formalize enablement plans accordingly
- Engage in field testing to gather knowledge and feedback on solutions and platforms
- Troubleshoot post-sales issues with expert-level knowledge of solutions
- Partner with sales leaders to facilitate communication and gather feedback
- Inspire and motivate the field team to adopt Pure Storage solutions and achieve sales success
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience
- 8 years of Pre-sales experience in IT
- Experience covering SLED accounts strongly preferred
- Strong technical acumen in the Analytics AI space with deep interest and vision for the industry
- Strong understanding of the infrastructure servers, networking, storage, etc that underpins a high performance environment
- Experience leading from the front with a strong reputation as an industry-respected technical evangelist with demonstrated deep expertise in key technologies
- Exceptional level of specialized sales with Analytics AI product solution knowledge and a solid understanding of Pure Storage competitive domain in these technologies
- Ability to articulate and understand the customer strategy and Pure Storage solution strategy to a technical level of detail
- Ability to explain complex concepts in a simple to understand manner to teach account teams and partners about Pure's Analytics AI solutions
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as excellent presentation skills
- Proficiency with G-Suite, CRM, and opportunity management systems, preferably Salesforce.com
- Strong technical and tactical problem-solving skills and experience with complex engineering designs
- Knowledge of the Analytics AI landscape and how they all play together at Pure for a specific customer outcome, including applications such as Splunk, Elastic Search, Kafka, Spark, Snowflake, Vertica, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc., and their integration with Nvidia products, cloud providers AWS, Azure, GCP in virtualized or containerized environments
- Ability to travel within the assigned territory and other locations throughout the US, approximately 50 to 60%
- Strong work ethic, attitude, and follow-through ability
