Job Description
This role involves owning and developing a production cloud storage service within Azure, focusing on designing APIs, improving system features, ensuring reliability, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure storage solutions for customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and evolve a production cloud service for Everpure Cloud Azure Native, from idea to deployment in Azure.
- Build new features and improvements for the control plane service, including user flows, system state exposure, and billing adjustments.
- Maintain service reliability through test automation, CI/CD, metrics, and alerts.
- Design and improve APIs and service behavior critical to real workloads.
- Simplify code and APIs, reduce technical debt, and enhance service safety and operability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners on design, integration, and incident resolution.
Requirements
- Solid software engineering experience typically 3 years building and maintaining backend services or APIs in production.
- Strong programming skills in at least one modern language such as Go, Python, Java, C++, or similar, and a willingness to work with new technologies when it makes sense.
- End-to-end ownership mindset, including owning what you build from design and implementation through testing, deployment, monitoring, and iterative improvements in production.
- Strong problem solving skills, with the ability to debug issues that cross service boundaries, APIs, and cloud components.
- Curiosity and a growth mindset, with an interest in learning new domains, platforms, and tools, and sharing that knowledge with others.
- Collaborative way of working, including clear communication, giving and receiving feedback well, and working in a team-oriented environment.
- Experience building SaaS or cloud services, such as operating services on Azure, AWS, or GCP, is a big plus.
- Willingness to work from the Prague office in compliance with company policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
