The role involves leading technical sales strategies and architectural solutions for cloud-native data management, primarily focusing on Kubernetes and enterprise storage, to drive revenue growth and customer success within strategic accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the technical sales process lifecycle, including discovery, strategy alignment, demos, workshops, POCs, and closing deals.
Architect Kubernetes-centric data platforms across multiple regions, clouds, and business units.
Own and craft technical proposals, RFx responses, and Statements of Work (SOWs).
Translate technical capabilities into quantified business outcomes for executive stakeholders.
Act as the primary technical representative for the company's Cloud Native portfolio in customer engagements.
Conduct technical demonstrations, workshops, and Proof of Concept (POC) planning and execution.
Coordinate with professional services, customer success, and other teams for project scoping and transition planning.
Establish and maintain regular customer engagement post-deal to ensure product adoption and satisfaction.
Develop thought leadership through industry talks, blogs, and community involvement.
Collaborate with sales and technical teams to generate leads, support customer meetings, and promote solutions.
Requirements
Pre-sales experience is required with 5 or more years of relevant experience in technology, design, and communications.
Deep understanding of the architecture, design, and implementation of multi-tiered client-server and web-based computing solutions.
Experience supporting the sales of enterprise storage, networking, systems, cloud, or software to enterprise accounts.
Superior knowledge of current and emerging storage architectures including FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, SAN, Linux, NFS file systems, and Linux distributed network environment.
Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP cloud platforms is a plus.
Experience with installation and configuration of distributed computing, multiprocessing, virtual memory subsystems, storage subsystems architecture, shared memory architectures, cache architectures, and windowing systems.
Familiarity with containers, Kubernetes, and microservices architectures is a plus.
Strong knowledge of digital transformation to a Cloud Native architecture, including On-Premises, Public Cloud, Provisioning Automation, and Containers.
Knowledge of VMware, Local Area Networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and general networking concepts.
Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills.
BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other technical degree, or equivalent experience.
Familiarity with modern web architecture such as LAMP stack, scale-out vs scale-up architectures, AWS well-architected framework, and microservices architecture is a plus.
Curiosity and passion for technology, with the ability to explain and demonstrate new technology platforms and concepts to customers.
Ability to work primarily in an office environment at the OFFICE_LOCATION office in compliance with company policies.
Familiarity with storage-intensive applications and their requirements such as structured databases SQL, Oracle is highly desirable.
