Job Description
This role involves designing and developing microservices and features for a SaaS platform within the data storage industry, focusing on high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software solutions, primarily using languages like C, Java, or Go, and working within a collaborative, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop microservices and integrate new features into Portworx products
- Conduct design, development, testing, code reviews, and documentation of software components
- Collaborate with stakeholders to take solutions from initial design to production
- Take ownership of design and development activities, addressing customer feedback and issues
- Experiment with new technologies to innovate and improve solutions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
- At least 5 years of experience in designing, developing, and testing various product components using one or more of the following languages: C, Java, or Go.
- Good understanding of Microservices Architecture and scalable platforms.
- Experience designing and implementing high quality, testable, maintainable, and production-grade microservices and continuous integration.
- Experience designing and owning microservices to operate and scale in a distributed system architecture.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders including product management and customer beta partners in designing highly scalable and production quality software.
- Proven design sensibility and willingness to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Must be willing and able to work in an open office environment.
- Solid computer science background in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
