Job Description
The role involves developing AI-powered tools to optimize supply chain operations by transforming operational data into actionable insights, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and demonstrating the practical value of generative AI in a high-tech environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a functional AI Copilot to automate decision-making in manufacturing and logistics workflows.
- Integrate operational data from internal sources using SQL and APIs to ensure high-quality outputs.
- Create an intuitive user interface for internal demonstrations and stakeholder feedback.
- Document system design, limitations, and prepare final presentations and live demos for leadership.
- Collaborate with supply chain experts to translate operational challenges into technical solutions using prompt engineering and Python.
Requirements
- Ability to work full-time for 12 consecutive weeks during Summer 2026 while currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering with a focus on AI and analytics, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python programming language.
- Experience working with data through SQL, APIs, or data processing tools.
- A foundational understanding of AI and Machine Learning concepts, particularly Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Large Language Models (LLMs), demonstrated through academic projects, internships, or personal repositories.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical partners and possess clear, curiosity-driven communication skills.
- Experience using GitHub for version control.
- Familiarity with LLM APIs or open-source frameworks for project-based applications.
- Strong work ethic and initiative to solve problems and debug code independently.
- Willingness to work from the Santa Clara office in compliance with company policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
