The role involves developing AI-powered tools to optimize supply chain operations by transforming operational data into actionable insights, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and demonstrating the practical value of generative AI in a high-tech environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop a functional AI Copilot to automate decision-making in manufacturing and logistics workflows.
Integrate operational data from internal sources using SQL and APIs to ensure high-quality outputs.
Create an intuitive user interface for internal demonstrations and stakeholder feedback.
Document system design, limitations, and prepare final presentations and live demos for leadership.
Collaborate with supply chain experts to translate operational challenges into technical solutions using prompt engineering and Python.
Requirements
Ability to work full-time for 12 consecutive weeks during Summer 2026 while currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering with a focus on AI and analytics, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Proficiency in Python programming language.
Experience working with data through SQL, APIs, or data processing tools.
A foundational understanding of AI and Machine Learning concepts, particularly Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Large Language Models (LLMs), demonstrated through academic projects, internships, or personal repositories.
Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical partners and possess clear, curiosity-driven communication skills.
Experience using GitHub for version control.
Familiarity with LLM APIs or open-source frameworks for project-based applications.
Strong work ethic and initiative to solve problems and debug code independently.
Willingness to work from the Santa Clara office in compliance with company policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
