Job Description
An Accounting Intern role focused on supporting finance modernization initiatives, including ERP implementation and automation, while gaining hands-on experience in month-end closing, financial analysis, and core accounting operations within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Core Finance ERP implementation project through process improvements and automation initiatives
- Assist the Accounting teams in executing monthly closing processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Analyze financial data sets to provide insights for decision-making and financial projects
- Build foundational expertise in core accounting operations and cross-functional financial analysis
Requirements
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field with a strong interest in finance process improvement and automation.
- Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to leverage AI-assisted tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini) to enhance financial analysis, identify patterns, and synthesize insights while maintaining accuracy, data integrity, and strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally, ask thoughtful questions, and proactively solve problems.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to support process improvements and automation initiatives that increase the efficiency of global financial operations as part of the Core Finance ERP implementation project.
- Ability to support the Accounting teams to execute monthly closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting.
- Ability to compile and analyze financial data sets to provide insights for critical decision-making and ad hoc financial projects.
- Willingness to work from the Santa Clara, CA office in compliance with company policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
