The role involves selling enterprise software solutions related to Kubernetes data services, managing customer relationships, driving new business opportunities, and collaborating with technical teams to support cloud-native applications in a fast-growing, innovative tech environment.
Key Responsibilities
Grow and manage a sales territory, from initial land to expansion, through account planning and selling strategies.
Develop and nurture relationships with prospects and customers at strategic and operational levels.
Identify, evaluate, and present new business opportunities to management.
Collaborate with partners to generate new business opportunities.
Conduct market intelligence and competitive analysis sessions for customers.
Work closely with sales, pre-sales, SDR, and engineering teams to support sales efforts.
Deliver enablement sessions to educate customers and internal teams about Portworx solutions.
Leverage documentation, best practices, and knowledge resources to assist customer success.
Lead complex sales processes involving multiple stakeholders, fostering teamwork and shared ownership.
Requirements
10 years of experience in selling enterprise software and subscription software
A basic technical understanding of the enterprise software, container, cloud native, and storage domains
Ability to present Portworx’s unique value proposition, product, vision, strategy, and road map
Excellent interpersonal skills including written and oral communication, able to build relationships easily and deepen them over time
Proven prospecting skills with an avid hunter mentality, consistently opening doors to new customers and navigating seamlessly between the boardroom and the data center while passionately positioning the advantages of a Portworx solution
Authenticity and a genuine desire to engage customers and understand their business challenges
Thought leadership, creativity, and a challenger mindset, with the ability to apply customer insights and technology solutions to position Pure’s portfolio to solve persistent problems
Ability to assess, plan, and actively manage a territory to achieve maximum revenue and efficiency
Expertise in leading a complex sales process with multiple stakeholders, while fostering teamwork and shared ownership internally and with partners
A consistent track record of exceeding sales quota and driving referenceable business
